What is Post Simulator?

Post Simulator lets you build realistic-looking social media posts without touching any of the actual platforms. Pick a platform, type your content, add stats and a timestamp — and you get a post that looks like the real thing. Works for Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube thumbnails, LinkedIn, Reddit, Facebook, and TikTok.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent anywhere. Hit "Save PNG" and you're done.

How it works

1
Pick a platform — choose from the 7 icons at the top of the sidebar.
2
Fill in the details — name, handle, post text, optional image URL, engagement numbers, timestamp.
3
Preview updates live — no need to click anything, it renders as you type.
4
Save as PNG — hit the button top-right of the preview. Downloads straight to your device at 2x resolution.

What people use it for

Personal funSend a fake "viral tweet" to a group chat. Make your dog's Instagram post. Whatever.

Common questions

Does it save my data?

Can I use my own profile photo?

Paste any direct image URL into the Avatar URL field and it'll load in. Works with Imgur, your own hosting, or any publicly accessible image link.

Why does the PNG look slightly different?

The export uses html2canvas which has some limitations with certain CSS. For best results, use a solid background image rather than a gradient when exporting.

Can I use this commercially?

Mockups, design work, productions: yes. Anything meant to trick people into thinking a post is real: no. Read the .
